Washing a Chunkichilli Sweater
We strongly recommend having Chunkichilli pure wool sweaters and cardigans dry cleaned. With sweaters containing white or cream wool, there is a risk of slight discolouration with hand-washing.

However, darker sweaters can be hand-washed in luke-warm water with a little washing powder. Hand-washing also helps flatten out the sweater stitching and pull the sweater back into shape.

Once you've hand-washed your sweater and rinsed out all of the soap, squeeze the sweater in handfuls to remove as much of the excess water as you can, then lay it out on a horizontal rack in a warm and airy place, and pull it back into its original shape.

Our sweaters are pre-washed, so they are highly unlikely to shrink or stretch under normal treatment.

What Not to Do
Never hang your sweater out to dry, as the weight of the water will pull it out of shape. Also remember not to tumble-dry your sweater. If you iron it, do so only on low heat. Do not bleach your sweater.

If you have any questions about how to look after your sweater, please contact us at enquiries@chunkichilli.com.
